Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Sponsors

March 1, 2024

This article contains information about the organisations serving as official sponsors and partners to the Indian Premier League (IPL) for its 2024 season.

Title Sponsor

TATA Sons

When it initially took over the IPL title sponsorship rights from Vivo in 2022, the TATA Group and the IPL had agreed upon a two-year deal reportedly worth ?670 crore.

In January 2024, TATA Sons secured the IPL title rights for the next five years (2024–28), reportedly renewing its association with a record-breaking sum of ?2,500 crore.

Official Partners

My11Circle

My11Circle, an Indian fantasy sports brand endorsed by Sourav Ganguly and Shubman Gill among others, surprised many by making a substantial investment in the IPL in February 2024.

My11Circle pipped rival brand Dream11 to become the IPL’s official partner in the fantasy sports category with a winning bid of ?625 crore. Dream11, which had bid ?515 crore, was one of the incumbent official partners.

According to Cricbuzz, Dream11 submitted a bid of ?515 crore for five seasons (?103 crore per season), while My11 Circle’s bid amounted to ?625 crore (?125 crore per season) for the same period.

Angel One

In February 2024, Angel One, an Indian stockbroker, pipped rival company Groww in the IPL’s online stock trading sponsorship category with a winning bid of ?410 crore against the latter’s bid of ?380 crore, according to Cricbuzz. The deal will be valid until 2028.

RuPay

In February 2024, RuPay, an online financial and payment system, became the third official partner with a bid of ?210 crore on a three-year multi-year deal. RuPay did not face any competition in the category.

Strategic Timeout Partner

Ceat

In February 2024, Indian multinational tyre manufacturing company Ceat, the flagship company of the RPG Group, secured the slot for the Strategic Timeout Partner with a five-year deal reportedly worth ?240 crore (?48 crore per year until 2028).

Broadcast Partner

Star Sports

In 2017, Star India won the total broadcasting rights for the IPL. The deal was for a period of five years that ran from IPL 2018 until IPL 2022.

Star has since then acquired only the television broadcasting rights for the 2023–27 IPL cycle, with Viacom18 bagging the online streaming rights.

Digital Streaming Partner

JioCinema

After Viacom18 won the exclusive digital rights for the IPL for the 2023–27 cycle by paying a whopping US$2.7 billion, it was announced that the IPL 2023 matches would be streamed for free on the company’s JioCinema platform.

Note: The IPL still has three more “official partner” slots to fill—for the umpires, the Orange Cap, and the Purple Cap—but no suitable bidders have been found yet.

With the Orange Cap, Purple Cap, and Umpire partnerships base-priced at ?60 crore, ?60 crore, and ?50 crore, respectively, according to the BCCI tender released on January 29, 2024, industry insiders say some of the previous partners may still come on board for the remaining slots. The likes of Saudi Tourism, Aramco, and DP World are expected to ink a direct deal with the BCCI after the pricing was established during the tender process.
