LaLiga partners with Nissan e-POWER

August 10, 2022

LaLiga and Nissan have signed a collaboration agreement, linking the league with the latter’s exclusive e-POWER technology until June 2023.

As per the deal, Nissan’s e-POWER tech will play a significant role in LaLiga this season, tying its brand to various activations like Players of the Week and specific matches.

Nissan also plans to use LaLiga as a platform to promote its technology and showcase how the effectiveness, energy and acceleration of its tech are noticeable in the field.

Javier Tebas, President of LaLiga, said:

“Nissan, like LaLiga, is a brand with a desire to improve and that seeks the constant optimization of everything it does. That is why we have partnered with it, we share values that make us leading brands nationally and internationally.”

Bruno Mattucci, CEO of Nissan Iberia, also said:

“Two leading brands have come together to explain a technology that will revolutionize the lives of citizens and introduce improvements in their daily lives while producing positive environmental, economic and social effects. That technology is called e-POWER.”

Nissan’s e-POWER drives the wheels by using an electric motor that is powered solely by a battery that is charged by a gasoline engine. When compared to a conventional combustion engine, it responds similarly, offers quick torque, and has reduced exhaust emissions and operating expenses. It also does not require a plug-in.
