The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has announced a partnership with Google, which will see Google Gemini become the Official AI Sponsor of the Morocco men’s national football team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The partnership will last for three months (May, June, and July) as the Atlas Lions prepare for the World Cup.
The partnership will see Google and the FRMF work together on a host of fan-focused activations, which will be “powered” by Google Gemini. Fans will be able to use Google Gemini to understand the rules of the game better, analyse match performance, and predict winning teams, use Gemini’s Text-to-Image model (Nano Banana) to create custom cheering visuals, and compose team anthems with Gemini’s Text-to-Music model (Lyria).
On the partnership, Google released the following statement:
“This partnership represents a major strategic milestone, placing artificial intelligence technology at the heart of the Atlas Lions’ journey by leveraging modern technologies and advanced models to promote the national team locally and internationally, and enable Moroccan fans and football lovers to take part in the world of football across the globe.”
