As part of a new elevated agreement announced by Ryder Cup Europe and the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) of America, American multinational hotel and hospitality company Hilton will take on a new role as a Worldwide Partner of the 2023 Ryder Cup. The company joined the DP World Tour in 2022 as an official partner.
In addition to housing Ryder Cup participants and employees at Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Hilton will gain visibility for its brand on a global scale through mutually developed, multi-channel marketing campaigns. The award-winning “A Stay on the Green by Hilton” experience, which has already proven to be incredibly popular at a few DP World Tour events, will also be introduced as a Ryder Cup edition by Hilton.
Additionally, Hilton will benefit from extensive on-course branding throughout the event and on international television broadcasts. Throughout the year, Hilton will sponsor digital content initiatives on Ryder Cup’s social media channels.
Guy Kinnings, Director, Ryder Cup Europe, said:
“We know Hilton very well through our DP World Tour partnership, and we are delighted that they have decided to further elevate their association with the Ryder Cup. We have already worked together on award-winning marketing campaigns for the DP World Tour over the past 12 months, and the Ryder Cup, the pinnacle of drama and emotion in our sport, provides rich territory to further collaborate on campaigns that get people talking. The spectacular Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria Hotel will also be the base for both teams. Rome 2023 promises to be a historic event, and a partner of Hilton’s prestige will help us stage one of the best events yet.”
Jeff Price, Chief Commercial Officer, the PGA of America, stated:
“We are thrilled that Hilton, the global leader in premium hospitality and service, has expanded its relationship with the Ryder Cup. By combining Hilton’s renowned hospitality expertise with the prestige of the Ryder Cup, we aim to deliver a world-class experience for golf enthusiasts at Marco Simone.”
Chris Silcock, EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, Hilton, added:
“The Ryder Cup is one of the most exciting events in the global sporting calendar, and we are delighted to become a Worldwide Partner of the 2023 event. Through this industry-first partnership, Hilton will create once-in-a-lifetime experiences and showcase our leading and unique hospitality to players, staff, and Hilton Honours members.”
