Born in Sydney, Australia to Russian parts, Alexei Popyrin is a 23-year-old tennis player. He lived in Dubai and Spain in his younger days and has trained at the Mouratoglou Academy since April 2017.
Popyrin made his professional debut in 2017 and had a career-high ATP ranking of 59th in November 2021. As a junior, he was ranked the No.2 player in the world. In 2017, he also won the French Open boys’ singles title. In the ATP Tour, Popyrin won his one and only ATP event, a 250 series tournament, the 2021 Singapore Open, beating Alexander Bublik in three sets.
Following are Alexei Popyrin’s endorsement and sponsorship deals.
In 2022, Fila signed a clothing and shoe sponsorship deal with Popyrin, after talks between him and Nike broke down over a new contract. The South Korean sportswear manufacturer, with Italian roots, sponsors all of Popyrin’s apparel and shoes.
Popyrin has a racquet sponsorship contract with Head. He endorses the Head Graphene 360 Prestige Pro racquet but uses the pro stock racquet Head PT57A, which is painted to look like the Head Graphene 360 Prestige Pro.
Before his current apparel and shoe deal with Fila, Popyrin had Nike as his first apparel sponsor. However, in January 2022, it was announced that the pair had parted ways, allowing Fila to swoop in.
