Melbourne Stars Sponsors 2022-23

Following are the organisations serving as sponsors and brand partners to Big Bash League franchise Melbourne Stars and enjoying a strong branding presence across their physical and digital assets during the 2022-23 season.

Principal Partner: BBL 

Aussie Broadband

The Melbourne Stars partnered with Australian telecommunications firm Aussie Broadband in December 2020.

Both parties renewed and expanded their partnership following a multi-year agreement in September 2022, which sees Aussie Broadband continue on as the Principal Partner of the Stars. The partnership has the Aussie Broadband branding present on the Stars’ playing and training kits along with enjoying other digital branding across various team assets.

Aussie Broadband also serves as the Sleeve Sponsor of the Stars’ Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) team.

MG Motor

The Melbourne Stars signed a three-year partnership with MG Motor in October 2020.

The partnership sees MG Motor serve as a Major Partner to the Melbourne Stars men’s team and the Principal Partner of their women’s team. As Principal Partner, MG Motor has its branding present on the playing and training kits of the Stars’ team and also on LED signage at their home grounds and on various other team assets. 

Premier Partner 

Yale

A global leader in door opening solutions, Yale has been a Premier Partner of the Stars since 2020. 

In October 2021, the Stars and Yale extended their partnership for a further two years. The partnership puts the Yale branding on all player helmets, caps and pants, along with LED signage and digital integration for both the men’s and women’s teams. 

TripADeal

Online travel agency TripADeal was announced as a Premier Partner of the Melbourne Stars in December 2022.

The partnership sees TripADeal branding feature on the Stars’ BBL team’s playing kit and also across LED signage at Stars games along with branding on the franchise’s social media assets.

Major Partner: WBBL

Euromaid

Kitchen and laundry appliances brand Euromaid joined as a Major Partner of the Stars’ WBBL team in September 2022.

The partnership puts the Euromaid branding on the WBBL team’s playing kits, media backdrops and LED signage during their marches. 

Platinum Partner 

Manhari Metals 

Steel and aluminium exporter Manhari Metals joined as a Platinum Partner of the Melbourne Stars in October 2021. 

The agreement puts Manhari’s branding present on the Stars coaches’ uniforms and on LED and dugout signage of their women’s and men’s teams.

The partnership was extended in October 2022, which saw Manhari Metals also become the Hydration Sponsor and Coaches Sponsor for both the Stars teams. 

Official Gym Partner

Snap Fitness

Snap Fitness was announced as the Stars’ Official Gym Partner ahead of BBL 12 in December 2022. 

The deal has Snap working with the Stars to raise awareness and also provide the Stars members and fans with its unique membership offerings. Snap’s branding is present on the Stars coaches’ apparel and also on the team training kits and staff media uniform. 

Official Match Day Partner

13cabs

Australia’s largest owned and operated taxi fleet 13cabs was announced as the Stars’ Official Match Day Partner in November 2022.

The partnership puts the 13cabs branding across the matchday social media content put up by the Stars and also on official matchday campaigns run across radio, digital and print media platforms. 

Official Partner

The Olsen: Art Series Hotels

Art Series Hotels is a group of Australian hotels and residences whose ambiences are “inspired by and dedicated to contemporary Australian artists”. The group currently has centres in Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.

The group serves as an Official Partner to the Melbourne Stars via its hotel, The Olsen in South Yarra, which boasts the works of Australian landscape artist John Olsen.

Brown Property Group

Victorian private residential property developers Brown Property Group also serves as an Official Partner to the Melbourne Stars. 

The partnership sees Brown work with the Stars on various community activities, such as the Melbourne Stars Family Day. 

Good Group

New Zealand-based food and beverage brand Good Group Hospitality signed on as an Official Partner of the Melbourne Stars in 2022.

Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation

An Australian organisation aimed at fighting gambling addiction, the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation signed a partnership agreement with the Melbourne Stars in December 2015. 

As an Official Partner, both the Stars and the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation work towards raising awareness and protecting the young public from the risks of gambling through various programmes. 

Community Partner

City of Casey

The City of Casey, the largest municipality in Victoria, has been a Community Partner of the Stars since 2013. Both parties work to promote and showcase sporting opportunities and the advantages of an active and healthy lifestyle. 

Throughout the year, the Stars, along with the City of Casey, are involved in a number of community programmes and activities. 

Official Beer & Cider Partner

CBCo.

The Melbourne Stars announced a new partnership with Colonial Brewing Co. (CBCo.), an Australian brewery, which saw the latter join as the team’s Official Beer & Cider Partner. 

The partnership grants CBCo. pourage rights at the CitiPower Centre, one of the Stars’ home grounds. 

Official Wine Partner

Oatley Fine Wine Merchants

Leading independent premium wine merchant Oatley Fine Wine Merchants currently serves as the Melbourne Stars’ Official Wine Partner following an agreement signed between them in 2022. 

Official Equipment Supplier

Kookaburra

Australian sports equipment manufacturer Kookaburra has been a long-time partner of the Melbourne Stars. Kookaburra currently serves as the Stars’ Official Equipment Supplier and provide its range of bats and equipment to the Stars players. 

Kookaburra and the Melbourne Stars also work together on a host of other fan engagement activities. 

Aditya Chaudhuri
