After a three-week mini-hiatus, Formula 1 returns to action this weekend, with Italy hosting the Imola Grand Prix from the 16th to 18th April. The track was a huge success last year, with Formula One returning to the track which previously hosted the San Marino GP, last held in 2006. Lewis Hamilton won the race and both the Alfa Romeo’s finished in the points last year, with Daniel Ricciardo recording his first Formula 1 podium with Renault (now known as Alpine).
Formula One has decided to return back to the Autodrome Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari to host the 2021 Pirelli Gran Premio Del Made In Italy E Dell’emilia Romagna Grand Prix (It will be referred to as Imola Grand Prix from now on). Max Verstappen, who took the fight to Mercedes and narrowly missed out on victory at Bahrain, will start as clear favourite. Sergio Perez, along with Pierre Gasly, will also be hoping to score a podium this weekend.
Let’s take a look at the sponsors for the Imola Grand Prix 2021
“Made in Italy: Pirelli will be the title sponsor of this year’s Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia Romagna. Proud to be the backer of what is probably the longest race name in @F1 history! And it’s in our home country, at @autodromoimola. #F1“
