- Edinson Cavani has shown an active participation in charity events aimed to improve the lives of children and youth internationally, be it playing charity games for the Lionel Messi Foundation or donating a pair of signed boots to PSG’s “Children first” initiative.
- In 2017, Cavani organised a charity match in his hometown of Salto to raise money for children with Down syndrome. A year prior to that, he organised a similar event to raise funds for youngsters suffering from cancer.
