Premier League side to focus on creating unique content through partnership.
Arsenal have announced their new partnership with Expo 2020 Dubai, which will see the first-team players of the club visit the event and produce exclusive content that will highlight said event and the opportunities at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Expo 2020 Dubai, which is the first world Expo hosted in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region, got underway on October 1, 2021, and will run until March 31, 2022.
Speaking about the partnership, Arsenal’s Chief Commercial Officer, Peter Silverstone, stated:
“We are looking forward to showcasing Expo 2020 Dubai to our hundreds of millions of fans and followers worldwide through a range of digital, match day and in-market campaigns.
“It is fantastic to support this historic first World Expo in the region whilst strengthening our presence in the Middle East alongside our long-standing, and much valued, partnership with Emirates.”
Sholto Douglas-Home, Chief Sales and Marcomms Officer, Expo 2020 Dubai, added:
“Expo 2020 Dubai is delighted to partner with Arsenal, the team that has been a proud part of the UAE’s and Dubai’s legacy with Emirates Stadium serving as the home base for many exciting wins on this journey.
“We can’t wait for the Gunners fans to be inspired by everything Expo 2020 Dubai has to offer, and to get a glimpse into the players’ own unique experiences as we host the world for 182 unforgettable days.”
The deal will see Expo 2020 Dubai receive significant branding presence at the Emirates Stadium on matchdays through LED advertising and also on Arsenal’s digital assets. The principal sponsor of the club, Emirates, is also the premier partner and official airline of Expo 2020 Dubai.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who had recently visited Expo 2020 Dubai, spoke about his experience:
“To experience the future of aviation at the Emirates Pavilion was fantastic and the Al Wasl Plaza’s dome light projections were a particular highlight.
“It was a truly unique experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Dubai in the next few months.”
