English football club Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced a new global partnership with Korean TV streaming platform, KOCOWA+, who will become the club’s Official Korean Streaming Platform Partner. The deal will see KOCOWA+ have their branding present prominently at Wolves’ stadium and across their digital channels. Both will work on various content projects to reach out to the Korean audiences as well. Wolves fans will also be able to sign up for a KOCOWA+ account and have access to a large range of Korean TV programmes.
Russell Jones, GM marketing & commercial growth, Wolverhampton Wanderers, said,
“We are delighted to welcome KOCOWA+ to the Wolves family. It is both an honour and a huge opportunity for the club to be partnering with such a well-known streaming service, and a brand right at the heart of the phenomenal global popularity of Korean music (K-pop), TV dramas (K-dramas), films, fashion, food, language, and beauty trends. Aside from promoting KOCOWA+’s 40,000+ hours of existing programming, this partnership will allow us to work together on original content, exposing the Wolves brand to millions of Korean nationals, expatriates and descendants living abroad.”
Christi Turner, marketing director for KOCOWA+, said,
“This collaboration marks a significant step in our European expansion. We’re thrilled to join forces with Wolves, tapping into their dynamic energy and crafting campaigns that will captivate fans and elevate our brand’s visibility with the Premier League’s 3 billion viewers across the world.”
KunHee Park, CEO/CPO of KOCOWA+, added,
“This partnership came along when we were looking at ways to let fans know that we are now available in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, in addition to North and South America. Wolves’ global presence and engaged fan base is a natural fit for our demographic, not to mention Hee Chan Hwang is one of our favourite players. We are excited to be able to work with the team to create content for all of our fans.”
