Brisbane Heat to continue encouraging fans to "Forget the Bet"

The Brisbane Heat have announced a multi-year renewal of their partnership with the Queensland Department of Justice.

The Big Bash League franchise will thus continue to spread the message “Forget the Bet. Enjoy the Game”, with the aim of raising awareness about the harmful effects of gambling and promoting safer choices.

The partnership began in 2023 and will continue for a further two years, with “Forget the Bet” having a presence at all home games of the Heat as well as their official digital platforms. Community engagement initiatives are also part of the agreement. 

Pete Lock, Cricket General Manager – Commercial, Marketing & Corporate Affairs General Manager, Brisbane Heat, commented:

With thousands of fans attending Heat games at Allan Border Field and the Gabba each summer, we have a unique opportunity to start conversations about safer gambling and help reduce harm in our community.”
