Chelsea FC extend EA SPORTS FC partnership
Chelsea Football Club have announced an extension of their partnership with EA Sports FC, the football simulation video game series formerly known as EA Sports FIFA, developed and published by EA Sports.
The partnership, which the club state goes back 17 years, now officially covers the Blues’ women’s team — Chelsea FC Women — to “further support the growth and visibility of the women’s game.”
The renewal will ensure more of the “most true-to-life Chelsea FC virtual experience” with the latest EA FC instalment, EA Sports FC 26, which releases later this month, on the 26th.
Star Chelsea player Cole Palmer also recently extended his partnership as a Global Ambassador of EA Sports FC.
Dan McEwan, Chelsea FC’s director of partnerships, commented:
“We are proud to continue this long-standing relationship with EA SPORTS FC as it enters its 18th year, and are excited to see it evolve in a way that supports the entire club and our diverse fanbase. Chelsea is one of the most popular in-game clubs to select, and specifically as the women’s game continues to grow, we are excited to work with both our men’s and women’s players to engage the Chelsea family and broader football community in fresh, exciting new ways.“
James Taylor, Director of Football Partnerships, EA SPORTS FC, said:
“We’re excited to extend our long-standing partnership with Chelsea FC – a club that shines on the world stage across both the men’s and women’s game. With the men’s team crowned Club World Cup champions and the women’s team securing a historic treble, Chelsea continues to inspire. We can’t wait to showcase that winning spirit in EA SPORTS FC.“
