Special partnership announced
One of Indian Premier League’s (IPL) most successful franchises, five-time champions Chennai Super Kings have announced a new partnership with the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL). The deal signed ahead of the IPL 2025 is focused to improve convenience for the fans. Fans who have the match tickets for CSK’s home games at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk will be allowed to travel in the metro rail at no additional cost.
Fans will not need to wait in queues either, with QR/barcoded match tickets doubling up as the travel tickets. The metro services will also be extended on match days for an additional 90 minutes for the convenience of the fans.
CSK kick off their IPL 2025 campaign on March 23, 2025 against fellow five-time champions, Mumbai Indians at Chepauk in Chennai.
K.S Viswanathan, Chennai Super Kings Managing Director, commented,
“Chennai Super Kings has always focussed on fans in every initiative we take. This initiative is a testament to the same. A similar partnership in 2023 was well received and we are confident that this season too will see plenty of Chennai Super Kings fans using the Metro services. We encourage fans to use public transport and enjoy Chennai Super Kings matches in Chepauk.”
