Epic Esports to host DotA 2 Champions League Season 7

Tournament to get underway from January 24.

 

Russian betting operator Winline, Epic Esports Events and the Russian Esports Federation have come together to host the Winline DotA 2 Champions League Season 7, which will be held from January 24 to February 17. The tournament will have a prize pool of US$50.000.

The tournament will see a total of 14 teams from Eastern and Western Europe participate. The teams competing will be:

  • Team Empire
  • Hydra
  • AS Monaco Gambit
  • Gambit Esports
  • Brame
  • Nemiga Gaming
  • Winstrike
  • V-Gaming
  • Entity
  • COOLGUYS
  • CIS Rejects
  • Open Qualifiers winner

 

The group stage will see the participants fight it out with each other, and the highest point-scorers will head to the playoffs stage.

In the playoffs, the teams will compete in the Double Elimination bracket in the Best of 3 format and head on to the semifinals.

The finals will be a Best of 5 affair.

 

The prize pool distribution announced for the tournament is as follows:

1st place — US$20,000

2nd place — US$10,000

3rd place — US$7,000

4th place — US$3,500

5th and 6th place — US2,500 for each team

7th and 8th place — US$1,000 for each team

9th to 12th place — US$500 for each team

 

RuHub Studio will broadcast the Russian-language stream, while Beyond The Summit will be hosting the English-language stream.
