ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) has announced the acquisition of leading global esports technology and infrastructure firm Vindex. The acquisition is a further step in EFG’s goal of uniting and engaging players, fans and creators across esports and video games to bring their experiences to newer regions.
EFG and Vindex will collaborate together to use their industry experience to work on innovation for publishers, brands and video game communities worldwide. Some of the advantages of the acquisition will be:
- Combined expertise building innovative video game ecosystems uniting players, fans, teams and creators.
- Strengthened geographic footprint of event production and studio capabilities across the US, Europe and Asia Pacific and Japan to drive modern engagement of the digital generation.
- Added expertise to build out and grow DreamHack festivals in the US.
- Deepened broadcast and consumer insights through VIP to inform and better design content and experiences for gamers globally.
