North American esports organisation FaZe Clan have renewed their partnership with McDonald’s USA.
The renewal of the partnership will kick-off from McDonald’s and FaZe both having presence at the PAX West, a gaming convention in Seattle where McDonald’s will be hosting various fan engagement activities. It will also include a meet-and-greet session with FaZe Clan talent.
Additionally, both brands will continue to work together to create exclusive content, IP and cover stories about various FaZe Clan players.
Speaking about the renewal, Lee Trink, CEO of FaZe Holdings Inc, commented:
“McDonald’s has been an exceptional partner for FaZe Clan, as they understand the creativity and authenticity needed to engage with a younger, diverse audience.
“I’m thrilled to renew our partnership with McDonald’s USA, as we bring together FaZe Clan’s community with McDonald’s brand power.“
Veronica Thompson, Director of Cultural Engagement and Activations at McDonald’s USA, added:
“Collaborating with a gaming platform of FaZe Clan’s influence and credibility provides a unique opportunity for us to collaborate on original programs that honour the diverse interests of our fans. We’re excited to continue our partnership with FaZe Clan this year as we deepen the engagement between McDonald’s brand and gaming fans.“
FaZe Clan and McDonald’s first partnered in 2021 to provide opportunities for upcoming gamers in the US. The partnership also focused on giving under-represented groups in the gaming industry a platform via which they could be heard and seen through a host of content activations created by FaZe Clan members.
The original content series, known as Spotlight, drew over 2.4 million total viewers in its first season. The renewal of the partnership will see both brands continue on with the series.
