New schedule released post cancellation of the Japanese Grand Prix.
Formula One has announced a revised calendar for the ongoing 2021 season after the Japanese Grand Prix was cancelled earlier in August for a second year running. The new revised calendar sees a total of 22 races in the season, which is the most races ever held in a single season.
The current schedule stays the same till the Russian Grand Prix. After the Russian Grand Prix on September 26, the next race is the Turkish Grand Prix on October 10 instead of the following weekend after the race in Sochi, as it was scheduled initially on the 3rd.
Post the Turkish Grand Prix, the Formula One circus moves to the Americas, with the United States Grand Prix staying as it is on October 24. After that, there is another reshuffle as the Mexican and Brazilian Grands Prix have been shifted back by a week each. The Mexican Grand Prix will be now held on November 7 instead of October 31 and the Brazilian Grand Prix will be held on November 14 instead of November 7.

The revised calendar also has a yet to be announced race on November 21 following which the season wraps up with the inaugural Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on December 5 and the season finale at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on December 12.
Speaking about the revised schedule, Formula One CEO and President Stefano Domenicali said, “We are very pleased to announce the updates to the 2021 calendar following extensive discussions with the promoters and national authorities. The pandemic continues to present the season with challenges but we have proven we can adapt and we are confident we can deliver a record breaking 22 races this year despite a global pandemic. I want to thank the promoters in Brazil, Mexico and Turkey for their patience and flexibility and we will provide the details of the final addition soon. This season is proving to be an incredible battle on the track and this is hugely exciting for our fans around the world and we look forward to the intensity continuing in the races ahead.”
