Ather Energy has signed a multi-year partnership with the IPL newcomers.

Electric scooter manufacturer Ather Energy has been announced as the Principal Partner of Indian Premier League franchise Gujarat Titans.

The multi-year partnership will see Ather Energy’s logo visible on the front of the team’s jersey along with branding visibility across different Gujarat Titans assets.

Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, commented:

Being relative newcomers in our respective fields, what binds us are shared values of fearlessness and positivity, and a hunger to make a difference in our highly competitive environments. Ather is rapidly expanding across the country, with a presence in 24 cities and expected to be across more than 100 cities over the next 12 months.

The scale and reach of IPL provides a great platform for us to rapidly drive awareness and familiarity for the brand across the country, as we expand our geographic footprint. But beyond just reach numbers, the IPL has the unique advantage of being a sporting event whose appeal cuts across age and gender boundaries, engaging the entire household.

This gives us the opportunity to introduce our scooters to a larger audience and accelerate the adoption of EVs across the country.

Colonel Arvinder Singh, Gujarat Titans Chief Operating Officer, added:

Being relative newcomers in our respective fields, what binds us are shared values of fearlessness and positivity, and a hunger to make a difference in our highly competitive environments.

The scale and reach of IPL provides a great platform for us to rapidly drive awareness and familiarity for the brand across the country, as we expand our geographic footprint.

A Hero MotoCorp-backed startup that was founded in 2013, Ather Energy is one of the leaders in the EV revolution in the country and has been steadily expanding its retail presence across the country.

The Titans, who, along with the Lucknow Super Giants, are one of the two new franchises of the Indian Premier League, recently finalised their squad for the upcoming season in the Indian Premier League Mega Auction. The Hardik Pandya-led team will feature the likes of Rashid Khan, Shubhman Gill, Mohammed Shami, Lockie Ferguson, David Miller and Jason Roy amongst others, who will be representing the Ahmedabad-based team. Former Team India pacer Ashish Nehra has been onboarded as the team’s head coach.
