Heroic announces virtual racing team

Danish esports organisation Heroic has announced its entry into the world of virtual racing. Heroic will be joining the ESL R1 league as a partner team.

Heroic will be among the 12 teams that will take part in the ESL R1 league, which will see the likes of BMW and Porsche also take part.

The inaugural ESL R1 league will kick off with the ESL R1 2023 Spring Season, which will be held at the IEM Expo during IEM Katowice from February 10 to 12, 2023.

The list of teams who will take part in the ESL R1 2023 Spring Season are:

  • Apex Racing Team
  • BMW M Team BS+COMPETITION
  • FaZe Clan
  • Furia
  • G2 Esports
  • Heroic
  • Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Esports Team
  • MOUZ
  • Porsche Coanda
  • R8G Esports
  • Team Redline
  • Team Williams Esports

Oliver Valsgaard, Director of Esports, Heroic Group, said:

We are honoured to be joining such an ambitious league and are looking forward to pushing the limits of virtual racing together with EFG and Rennsport. The competition will be fierce, but we are confident that our racers have what it takes to compete for titles. We can’t wait to see what the future holds and are ready to hit the virtual track!
