The group stage of the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup ended in dramatic fashion as the West Indies knocked England out of the competition and New Zealand beat Pakistan to book their place in the final four.
Now, the second Semi-final of the T20 World Cup will be played between these two sides, which promises to be a battle of the hard-hitting batters.

The West Indies have had hiccups along the way and had to beat England to keep their chances of the play-offs alive, and they did it in fine fashion with some help from a poor fielding effort from the English. The defeat was so comprehensive it deteriorated England’s net run rate sufficiently to send them packing.
On the other hand, the White Ferns’ batting line-up struggled against Pakistan in their last group stage encounter, though their bowling and Pakistan’s poor batting saved them the blushes, with Amelia Kerr being the star of the show.
Tough to call this one, as the Windies will go into this encounter with a lot of confidence and momentum. However, New Zealand have proved time and again that they can handle tough situations and defend low scores. Looking at the two teams, we back the West Indies to edge this one just because their batting looks to be in dangerous form and their bowling has been decent as well.
