WTA No.1 Iga Swiatek has revealed that she is the new face of toy manufacturer Lego in her home country, Poland.
The four-time major singles winner has been a long-time advocate of Legos, having revealed in the past that she finds the process of building Legos relaxing.
Iga Swiatek shared the following statement via social media:
“From today I am the LEGO ambassador to Poland, and this means: even more LEGO blocks. I am convinced that not only will I continue to have fun and use blocks in my work in the area of mental preparation, but also that together with this iconic brand we will infect this passion, creativity and fun of the next generations, doing a lot of good together.“
Maciej Selinski, VP and General Manager LEGO Group, Poland, Ukraine, Baltics, took to social media to state:
“Let me introduce you to the new LEGO brand ambassador in Poland – the talented, inspiring and the best tennis player in the world, Iga Swiatek.
“Iga is an inspiration to millions of people all over the world and is a role model for children, teenagers but also adults. With her steadfast sporting determination, combined with creativity, an open mind and natural modesty, Iga embodies the LEGO Group values that we have always tried to pass on to the youngest generations.
“What we greatly appreciate about Iga’s approach to ???????? ???? ?????? is that it is not only a hobby, but also an important part of practising mindfulness, a skill needed before important games. As part of our cooperation, LEGO sets will accompany her at every stage of the journey, so that between intense matches she can always find a moment for herself and take care of peace and concentration.
“We know that Iga has a busy year ahead of her, with the Australian Open coming up, and then the highly anticipated Olympics in Paris. We keep our fingers crossed for Iga and wish her lots of #PlayWell time!
“With that said, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the remarkable team that tirelessly worked to make this collaboration a resounding success.“
