BCCI lands Apollo Tyres as new Team India shirt sponsor
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the country’s cricket-governing body, has announced a three-year partnership with Apollo Tyres, bringing it on board as Team India’s new Lead Sponsor.
Running until March 2028, the deal makes the Gurugram-based tyremaker the principal shirt sponsor for the Indian men’s and women’s national cricket teams for all home and away bilateral and ICC tournaments across the three formats.
The deal, reportedly worth INR 579.06 crore, will also see Apollo Tyres work with the BCCI on various activations and fan engagement campaigns.
On the Apollo Tyres partnership, Devajit Saikia, BCCI Honorary Secretary, commented:
“The arrival of Apollo Tyres as our new sponsor is a testament to the hard work and consistent performance of our teams. We are excited about this being Apollo’s first major sponsorship in India cricket, which speaks volumes about the sport’s unparalleled reach and influence. This is more than a commercial agreement; it’s a partnership between two institutions that have earned the trust and respect of millions.“
Neeraj Kanwar, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Apollo Tyres Ltd, added:
“Cricket’s unmatched popularity in India and worldwide makes it an honour for us to become the ‘National Team Lead Sponsor’ of Team India. This partnership is about national pride, strengthening consumer trust and showcasing Apollo as a true leader in our category, while supporting Indian sports at the highest level and creating unforgettable moments for fans worldwide.“
Apollo Tyres has taken over the Lead Sponsorship role from fantasy sports platform Dream11, which exited the agreement after the Indian government passed the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill 2025 last month, which made real money–based betting apps as well as their promotion illegal.
