Official Partners

Dream11

Dream11, a leading online fantasy gaming platform in India, entered into an agreement with the IPL to act as one of its official sponsors in March 2019. The two parties entered into an agreement for a period of four years, which commenced in 2019.

Saudi Tourism Authority

The IPL and the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) agreed a partnership in February 2023, resulting in the former securing its first sponsorship deal with the government of a foreign country.

The STA is set to replace Unacademy as an official partner, paying a similar amount to that paid by the edtech firm in the past. Reports suggest that each of the six official IPL partners pay an average of ?60 crore (US$7.24 million) per season.

CRED

The Bangalore-headquartered credit card payment company signed on as one of the IPL’s Official Partners in September 2020 on a three-year deal. As per the deal, CRED provides exclusive offers to the IPL viewers and encourages them to clear their debts and improve their credit scores.

Upstox

Upstox is one of India’s fastest-growing online brokerage firms. It was announced as an Official Partner of the IPL back in March 2021. The deal between the two kicked off in April 2021 and will continue into the 2023 season — entering the final year of their association.

Herbalife

Premier global nutrition company Herbalife inked a partnership deal with the BCCI to become one of the Official Sponsors of the Indian Premier League for the 2023 season.

RuPay

RuPay, the flagship product of the National Payments Corporation of India, was announced as an official partner of the IPL in March 2022. RuPay is reportedly paying approximately ?140 crore over two years as its deal enters the last year with the 2023 IPL season.

Star Sports: Official Broadcast Partner

Star Sports is to act as the Official Broadcast Partner for the 2023 IPL. Back in 2017, Star India had won the broadcasting rights for the IPL. The deal was to be for a period of five years that would run from 2018 up until the 2022 IPL season. Star then acquired only the broadcasting rights for the 2023–27 cycle, with Viacom18 bagging the online streaming rights.

JioCinema: Official Digital Streaming Partner

After Viacom18 won the exclusive digital rights for the IPL for the 2023–27 cycle by paying a whopping US$2.7 billion, it was announced that the IPL 2023 matches would be streamed for free on the company’s JioCinema platform. The company is also expected to offer an enhanced experience by offering 4K streaming at 60 FPS, compared to 1080p content previously offered by Star’s OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar.
