McLaren Racing inks new partnership with Hedera Foundation
McLaren Racing has signed a new multi-year partnership with the Hedera Foundation, a non-profit organization providing impactful educational assistance, social services and support programs to communities. The partnership will see Hedera, the foundation’s public network for building fast, secure, and compliant decentralised applications, become an Official Partner of the McLaren Formula One team and also the McLaren IndyCar team. Hedera and McLaren will work on various fan engagement activities along with a special digital collectibles programme, which fans claim during F1 race weekends.
Hedera will also have branding on the McLaren Formula One race cars and on the driver race suits of the McLaren Formula One drivers and also on the team kits of the IndyCar team.
Nick Martin, Co-Chief Commercial Officer, McLaren Racing, commented,
“Innovation off the track is just as important as performance on it. Partnering with Hedera allows us to deliver cutting-edge Web3 experiences for our fans. We’re excited to welcome Hedera to the McLaren family as we continue to push boundaries on and off the track.”
Charles Adkins, CEO, HBAR, Inc, added,
“Working with one of the world’s most recognised sports brands is a big step for the Hedera ecosystem. It gives us a chance to show what Web3 can look like when it’s built on a network people can trust, and when it’s tied to experiences fans actually want. This partnership is the first phase of a longer programme that we look forward to building together with McLaren Racing.”
