McLaren Racing have announced a multi-year partnership agreement with file hosting service Dropbox, which thus becomes the Official Technology Partner of the Woking-based British Formula One outfit.

The partnership will see the San Francisco, California-based company provide McLaren Racing with its “fast, secure and reliable syncing and sharing capabilities”. The Dropbox branding will be present on the McLaren race cars as well as driver overalls and helmets starting with the 2024 season.

Speaking about the deal, Zak Brown, CEO, McLaren Racing, commented:

In the competitive and high-performance world of Formula 1 reliability and speed are crucial across all areas of the business. It is great to have Dropbox on board, helping our high performing team work efficiently and seamlessly.

Drew Houston, Co-founder and CEO, Dropbox, added:

I’ve always been inspired by the relentlessness and high performance of the McLaren Formula 1 team. At Dropbox, we’re building products powered by AI and ML to help teams save time and stay focused on their most important work.
