The Minnesota Timberwolves are an American professional basketball team based in Minneapolis. The Timberwolves compete in the NBA in the Western Conference. Founded in 1989, they are owned by Glen Taylor and have an estimated net worth of US$1.4 billion.

In this article, we take a look into the sponsors of the Minnesota Timberwolves that help them in increasing their net worth.

Official Alcohol Partner: Tanduay Asian Rum

In February 2021, the Minnesota Timberwolves announced a three-year partnership with Tanduay Asian Rum, which designated the brand as the official rum partner of the NBA franchise.

The partnership includes a special experience inside the Timberwolves arena (Target Center) with customer brand packaging at retail locations and in-arena assets.

Official Blockchain Provider: Socios.com

In August 2021, the Timberwolves announced a multi-year partnership with Socios.com, making the fan engagement platform the official blockchain partner of the NBA team.

With the deal having kicked off with the 2021-22 season, Socios.com is assigned digital presence and TV-visible signage across Timberwolves assets. The deal also entails custom fan polls presented by Socios.com for matters like choosing the warm-up music playlists and unique gameday giveaways across all social channels.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are part of a 50+ network of major sporting properties on the Socios.com roster.

Official Digital Security Provider: Aura

In September 2021, the Minnesota Timberwolves announced a multi-year partnership with Aura, a leading provider of digital security for consumers.

The multi-year partnership makes Aura the Official Digital Security Provider of the Timberwolves and includes the title of season presenting partner, in-arena, and on-court signage as well as designation of the Official Jersey Patch Partner of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Official Presenting Partner: Tornado

In October 2021, the Timberwolves announced a multi-year partnership with Tornado, a web and mobile brokerage community for investors at all levels.
As part of the partnership, Tornado has acted as the presenting partner of the Timberwolves College Night Platform and is included on all related marketing collateral and in-arena promotions.

Official Betting Partner: Betway

In October 2021, the Timberwolves announced a multi-year partnership with Betway. This deal sees Betway’s branding featured prominently on court, including the court apron and the top of the backboard, in addition to LED and TV-visible signage inside Target Center.

Official Apparel Partner: AAWOL (“Athletic Apparel Without Limits”)

AAWOL is, as the name says, an apparel company for athletes. In October 2021, it announced a multi-year partnership with the Minnesota Timberwolves. To kickstart the partnership, AAWOL launched one-of-a-kind designs unique only to the city of Minneapolis. There was also an exclusive t-shirt giveaway to inaugurate the partnership by AAWOL in January when Minnesota faced the Golden State Warriors in January 2022.

The partnership includes a range of AAWOL and Timberwolves co-branded products, special quarterly Item of the Game giveaways, marketing elements, and a social content series. As per the deal, AAWOL also creates and designs exclusive retail items that are sold at the Timberwolves team store.
