Here are the sponsors for the Madrid Open

 

Mutua Madrileña: Mutua Madrileña, also known as La Mutua, is a large Spanish insurance company that has been an official sponsor of the Madrid Open since 2009. In 2019, Ion Tiriac, owner of Madrid Open, a Romanian billionaire and former ATP pro, announced that he had extended the current sponsorship contract of Mutua Madrid Open for another 10 years, with the deal now running until 2031.

 

Emirates: Emirates is the largest airline and flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates. It is a subsidiary of the Emirates Group which is owned by Investment Corporation of Dubai. Emirates will again be sponsoring the Mutua Madrid Open and has recently extended their contract with ATP Tour. The deal will see the Dubai-based airline as the premier partner and official airline for the men’s ATP Tour until 2025.

 

Mercedes Benz: The German automobile merchants Mercedes-Benz, also known as Mercedes, will be sponsoring the 2021 ATP Mutua Madrid Open. The German car manufacturers have come in at the right time for the organisers as they struggled to put together this tournament with a lack of funding.

 

Betway: Betway and Mutua Madrid Open joined hands in April 2021 to announce that they have agreed on a sponsorship deal that will bring the two of them together to promote fair betting in the world of tennis. The CEO of Betway, Anthony Werkman, said, “We are proud to announce our association with Mutua Madrid Open because it shows our loyal commitment to sports events around the world. We are excited to be part of such a prestigious sporting event.”

 

Dekton: Dekton will again be sponsoring the Mutua Madrid Open for the third year running. Dekton by Consentino will be present at the Madrid Open with different functions for all the attendees. The 2021 edition marks the 17th tournament to be staged from its inception and also the 10th anniversary of the construction of La Caja Mágica (The Magic Box). Dekton surfaces will be used to show the versatility and functionality of La Caja Mágica, which shares these features with aesthetic and design.

 

Estrella Damm: Estrella Damm is a lager beer, brewed in Barcelona, Spain. It is the oldest beer in Spain. Throughout its history Estrella Damm has been providing sponsorships, from baseball in the ’60s to sponsoring Chefs in 2009. In 2019, before the pandemic struck, Estrella Damm sponsored both the ATP and WTA tournaments in Spain. The two will again be joining hands with the Mutua Madrid Open as title sponsors.

 

Marca: Marca is a Spanish national sports newspaper outlet. Marca will be joining hands with the 2021 Mutua Madrid Open as an official partner. The news outlet aims to cover the entire tournament with their team, providing a minute-by-minute report of the matches taking place.

 

Samsung: For the ninth consecutive year, Samsung will be participating as an official sponsor for the 2021 Mutua Madrid Open. Samsung will be equipping the tournament ball boys with a special uniform. Since 2017, Samsung has sponsored the television broadcasting of the ‘hawk-eye’ system that follows the trajectory of the balls and helps the referee to decide any doubtful calls made by the linesmen.

 

Orange: Orange is a global integrator of communication products and services for Multinational Corporations. Orange has extended another year of its sponsorship agreement with the Mutua Madrid Open as one of its sponsors. Orange’s service ranges from cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things, which integrates and manages the complexity of international communications and software.

 

Dunlop: In 2019, Dunlop announced its contract extension as the official ball suppliers at four ATP and WTA events. The revised deal resulted in Dunlop supplying ATP official balls for key European tournaments, namely the Rolex Monte Carlo Open, the ATP Masters 1000, the Mutua Madrid Open, WTA Premier mandatory, and the ATP 500- Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell.

 

AC Hotels by Marriott: JW Marriott has officially announced their partnership with the Mutua Madrid Open as a third-tier sponsor. Under their sponsorship, the players will be put in the hotels run by JW Marriott. A secure bubble is paramount in any sport during this brutal pandemic.

 

FedEx: FedEx, the global shipping company, recently renewed its ties with ATP Tour. Apart from providing global shipping logistics solutions, FedEx will also sponsor 13 tournaments throughout the season with the Mutua Madrid Open included for the first time. Wouter Roels, the senior vice-president of International Marketing at FedEx, said, “The ATP Tour perfectly reflects what FedEx stands for: a global footprint, speed, excitement, and precision.”

 

Openbank: Openbank, the digital bank of the Santander Group, has been announced as an official sponsor of this year’s Mutua Madrid Open. According to the deal, customers of Openbank who have taken out investment products, investment funds, and pension plans or who hold a position in the bank’s broker department, are eligible for 5% off on box-office ticket prices.

 

American Express: The American Express, also known as Amex, has signed up as a third-tier partner of the Madrid Open. After signing a US$10m-a-year deal for sponsoring the 2016 US Open, American Express is now spreading its wings over the other major tennis tournaments in Europe. The Rolex Monte Carlo Open and the Mutua Madrid Open are the recent events to tie up with the American company.

 

Ricoh: Earlier in 2021, Ricoh announced their support to the world of tennis by becoming an official sponsor of three ATP events. They partnered with Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome, the Mutua Madrid Open, and the Rolex Paris Masters.

 

Legálitas: Legálitas, a firm that provides legal defence services and insurances, has continued to provide legal protection to tennis players during their stay in the city. The agreement states each player will be legally protected against any legal problem they might encounter. Thus, this way the tennis players will have peace of mind and legal security to fall back on in case of any trouble.

 

ONET: ONET has long been in the service of cleaning facilities and sporting events for the last two decades. After providing services at Roland Garros for over 10 years, and their noticeable jobs in cleaning the Santiago Bernàbeu and their exterior work done on Wanda Metropolitano before its inauguration. ONET signed an agreement to partner with the Mutua Madrid Open in 2018 and has since then maintained a healthy relationship with the owners of the event.

 

Aramark: The Mutua Madrid Open once again tied up with Aramark as their gastronomic provider. As it is the first sporting event with large audiences to be held in Spain after the COVID-19 break, Aramark has promised to implement a new COVID-free gastronomic service throughout the tournament. For this year’s tournament, Aramark will provide 150 workers during the tournament. The staff will be in bio-bubbles and undergo regular diagnostic tests. They also have a reserve team on standby in case of need.

 

Prosegur Security: Prosegur is a security company that provides security on a contractual basis. It started as a private security company based in Madrid, Spain. After many ventures in power plants, industrial facilities, and shopping centres, Prosegur has shifted its focus to the sports business. They have tied up with Madrid Open to provide quality security and management during the tournament.

 

ABC: ABC has announced they will be the official broadcasters of the tournament in Madrid. ABC is a local sports newspaper agency that provides daily sports news coverage in Madrid. On 28th April, a video conference was organised by ABC where they inaugurated the 2021 edition of the Mutua Madrid Open.

 

The Adecco Group: Adecco Group joined hands with the Mutua Madrid Open as a third-tier sponsor. The company believes in promoting people with excellent potential and tries to change how society sees us as human beings.

 

Pedro del Hierro: Pedro del Hierro is also an official sponsor of this year’s Mutua Madrid Open tournament. They are a fashion company that has a large collection of Tennis kits, and gears. As this is their first venture into the tournament, they have specially designed uniforms for the linesmen, to mark the occasion.
