On the 14th day, the No.1 team in the Men’s Table Tennis, Republic of China took home the Gold winning 3-0 against Sweden. Since the introduction of the Men’s Event in Beijing in 2008, China has remained undefeated in this competition.
The Men’s Football final between Spain and France was an exhilarating affair with both teams tied at 3-3 at full-time. However, the recently crowned Euro Champions Spain scored two goals in the extra time to make it 5-3 and clinched the Olympic Gold.

Women’s Individual Strokeplay – Indian Golfers had a disappointing day in Round 3. From the T14 in Round 2, Aditi Ashok dropped to T40. Diksha Dagar was also T14 in the second round but dropped to a poor T42.

Women’s 4x400m Relay Qualification – The Indian women’s 4x400m relay team of Jyothika Sri Dandi, MR Poovamma, Vithya Ramraj, and Subha Venkatesan finished eighth and last in their heat with a time of 3:32.51. This was a really poor effort as they ran slower than their PB.
Men’s 4x400m Relay Qualification – The Indian quartet of Muhammed Anas, Rajesh Ramesh, Amoj Jacob, and Muhammed Ajmal clocked an SB of 3:00:54 seconds but that wasn’t enough to qualify for the Finals. They were just 0.32 seconds behind the cut-off. Unfortunately, the smallest of margins in elite sports can make a huge difference.

Men’s 57 kg Bronze Medal Match – Some good news came by the end of the day for India. Aman Sehrawat won the bronze beating Puerto Rican grappler Darian Cruz by a score of 13-5. This takes India’s overall medal tally to 6 medals with 1 Silver and 5 Bronze.
