Premier League 2025/26: Gameweek 24 Preview and Predictions
After the midweek mayhem of the European competitions, Premier League action returns at the weekend with another set of mouth-watering clashes.
Some of the big games at the weekend include Newcastle travelling to Anfield, Spurs welcoming the Cityzens, and the Seagulls clashing with the Toffees.
Here, we present our previews and predictions for all matches of Gameweek 24 of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Leeds United vs Arsenal
Arsenal’s last three league games have produced just two points, with the most recent fixture against Manchester United having handed them their first home defeat of the season. That surprise loss also reduced their lead at the top to four points.
Goals seem to have dried up for them, with the Gunners having failed to score against Liverpool and Nottingham Forest recently. In Europe, though, they’ve been absolutely imperious, having concluded the league phase of the Champions League at the top of the table with eight wins out of eight.
As for Leeds United, they come into this game with fresher legs after a week’s rest. Their recent form has been great as well, with the West Yorkshire outfit having suffered just one defeat in their last ten games.
Arsenal’s injury issues have begun to dissipate, and manager Mikel Arteta will have a full squad to choose from, barring Max Dowman, who remains out with an ankle injury. Leeds, meanwhile, will miss Gabriel Gudmundsson, Jake Bijol, and Dan James for this fixture.
This Leeds team have made an unbelievable turnaround in recent months; facing them on their home turf won’t be easy for Arsenal, even though they absolutely crushed them at the Emirates in the reverse fixture. Daniel Farke and Co have improved a lot since then, though, and relish playing a physical game and threatening on the counter, so Arsenal will have to be wary.
That said, with all their attacking players available, Arsenal could prove a bit too much to handle for Leeds and should come away with all three points from what we expect to be a tight game.
Score Prediction: Leeds 1–2 Arsenal
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Bournemouth
Bournemouth grabbed a massive win against Liverpool last time out, coming back with a late winner after giving up a two-goal advantage. The Cherries have lost a lot of points from winning positions this season, which has been a recurring problem for coach Andoni Iraola.
As for their opponents, Wolves are still bottom of the Premier League table but have shown massive improvement over the past month. After a run of four unbeaten games across all competitions, they lost to Manchester City last weekend. They are not a side Bournemouth can take for granted.
Iraola has a selection headache coming into this game, with a host of his key players out with injuries. Justin Kluivert, Marcus Tavernier, Tyler Adams, David Brooks, Julio Soler, Ben Doak, Will Dennis, and Matai Akinmboni are all unavailable for this match. Wolves, on the other hand, will only miss Toti Gomes and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde for this encounter.
This is a tough one to call. Wolves do have the home advantage and have turned around their form in the last month or so, but Bournemouth have some dangerous attackers who could trouble the Wolves defence. This could be a highly entertaining end-to-end encounter with a fair bit of goals for both sides, but we expect the visitors to grab all three points again.
Score Prediction: Wolves 2–3 Bournemouth
Brighton & Hove Albion vs Everton
With two wins from their last five games, Brighton have been hurt by their own mistakes and inconsistencies this season. Last Gameweek, they lost away at Fulham, and currently they’re sitting outside the top ten. Everton, meanwhile, haven’t fared any better, having won only one game in their last five.
Brighton still have a fair few players out with injuries. Adam Webster, Mats Wieffer, Brajan Gruda, Solly March, and Stefanos Tzimas will be out for this game for the Seagulls, while the Toffees will miss Tim Iroegbunam and Jack Grealish.
With Grealish injured, Everton will be without one of their most impactful forwards, but they still have the likes of Iliman Ndiaye, Thierno Barry, and Idrissa Gueye. As for Brighton, it won’t be easy for them to overpower Everton’s solid defence, and they will need a great attacking move or two to find a breakthrough.
Considering that the two sides have played out several draws in recent respective outings, we expect this to be another game that ends in honours even.
Score Prediction: Brighton 1–1 Everton
Chelsea vs West Ham United
The new manager bounce seems to have worked like magic for Chelsea. The Blues won against Brentford last weekend and then won a difficult away fixture against Napoli in the Champions League to ensure a top-eight finish. They’ve been in decent form since Liam Rosenior took over the reins at Stamford Bridge.
As far as their opponents for this game are concerned, West Ham have been struggling all season and are currently languishing in the drop zone, though they have had an upturn in their form of late, having won their last two league games. Now, they need a sustained run of positive results to escape the drop zone.
From an injury perspective, Chelsea have Levi Colwill out for the season, with Tosin Adarabioyo, Dário Essugo, and Roméo Lavia also out for the time being. West Ham, meanwhile, only have Lukasz Fabianski sidelined with a back injury.
Considering how Chelsea have performed in recent weeks, they will be the favourites to win this home affair, but West Ham have shown improvement recently and cannot be taken lightly, having even got the better of tricky Sunderland last weekend. With most of Chelsea’s front-line players firing, however, the hosts should win this encounter.
Score Prediction: Chelsea 2–0 West Ham
Liverpool vs Newcastle United
After their late defeat against Bournemouth at the weekend, Liverpool went all out against Qarabag this midweek in the Champions League with an aim to confirm a top-eight finish — which they managed.
As for the Magpies, they came from behind during their own midweek Champions League trip to earn a valuable point against a dangerous Paris Saint-Germain side, but they couldn’t secure automatic qualification to the last 16 and will have to try their luck in the play-off round. In the Premier League last weekend, they suffered a home defeat to Aston Villa and have only one win in their last five games.
Liverpool’s injury issues have grown to concerning levels, as they only have one fit regular centre-back at the moment. Joe Gomez, Giovanni Leoni, Conor Bradley, Jeremie Frimpong, Alexander Isak, and Stefan Bajcetic are all out with injuries, while Ibrahima Konaté is out for personal reasons. Newcastle, meanwhile, also have a few players on the sidelines with injuries, including Emil Krafth, Fabian Schär, Jamal Lascelles, and Tino Livramento.
Given their injuries at the back, this could be a very difficult fixture for the Reds, especially given Newcastle play a very physical game and have players up front who can trouble the weakened Liverpool defence. Even though Liverpool possess the firepower up front to score against Newcastle, their vulnerabilities while defending set pieces are something Newcastle will try to exploit. All in all, we expect this to be a high-scoring affair that may end in a draw.
Score Prediction: Liverpool 2–2 Newcastle
Manchester United vs Fulham
Since the departure of Ruben Amorim and the arrival of former player Michael Carrick on an interim basis, the Red Devils have produced two superb wins against Manchester City and Arsenal. Their opponents for this game, Fulham, have boasted similar form in recent games, losing only one game in their last five. In their previous game against Brighton, they secured a vital three points through a stoppage-time winner.
Both teams have a few key injuries, with United set to miss Patrick Dorgu, Matthijs de Ligt, and Joshua Zirkzee, while Fulham will be without Kenny Tete, Sasa Lukic, and Rodrigo Muniz for this big game.
Though the new manager bounce has worked well for United so far, they’ve been known to struggle against mid-table teams. Having said that, United have played attacking football in the last two games and their forwards have shown great scoring intent; they are our favourites for the win here.
Score Prediction: Man United 2–0 Fulham
Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City
Both Spurs and Man City won their respective Champions League encounters and confirmed automatic qualification to the Round of 16. However, City’s recent form in the Premier League has taken a tumble, and they’ve been unable to take advantage of Arsenal’s dropped points in recent weeks with dropped points of their own. That said, the Cityzens did return to winning ways with three points against Wolves at home and will be hoping to build the winning momentum here. As for the hosts, they haven’t won in their last five games, having lost twice and drawn thrice.
Personnel availability has been a real issue for both teams, with crucial players on the sidelines — some even out for the season. Spurs’ injury list comprises Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Ben Davies, Micky van de Ven, Lucas Bergvall, Rodrigo Bentancur, Mohammed Kudus, and Richarlison, while City will miss John Stones, Joško Gvardiol, Rúben Dias, Mateo Kovacic, and Savinho for this game.
While Spurs did win the away fixture early in the season, their current injuries are very concerning; playing against the Man City front line could prove disastrous for them. City do have a vulnerable defence of their own, but Erling Haaland scoring in midweek will be good news for them. Although this could be a thoroughly entertaining affair, we believe City will run away with the three points.
Score Prediction: Spurs 1–3 Man City
Sunderland vs Burnley
Sunderland are now the only team in the Premier League who haven’t been beaten at home, after Arsenal’s loss to Man United last weekend. The Stadium of Light has been an absolute fortress for the Black Cats, whose fans have rallied behind them on several occasions to clinch crucial points.
On the other hand, the Clarets have also turned their form around a bit, having registered respectable draws against Man United, Liverpool, and Spurs in recent weeks. They’re still in trouble though, and mere draws won’t help them to safety in the top flight.
Injury-wise, Sunderland will miss the services of Granit Xhaka and Bertrand Traoré, while Burnley have a long list of absentees, comprising Joe Worrall, Jordan Beyer, Zeki Amdouni, Mike Tresor, Josh Cullen, Connor Roberts, and Zian Flemming.
Sunderland’s impressive home record tilts this match in their favour. Even though Burnley have snatched draws here and there, they are still without a win in their last five league encounters; beating the Wearside outfit away from home feels too tall an ask. The best they can hope for is another draw, but we cannot see them getting anything from this game.
Score Prediction: Sunderland 2–1 Burnley
Aston Villa vs Brentford
Villa’s Premier League form has shown a decline in recent weeks, with Unai Emery and Co having only managed a draw, two defeats, and two wins in their last five outings. Their last game, though, ended in a massive away win at St James’ Park, one of the toughest away stadiums in the league.
As for Brentford, they had been playing superbly as well and notching up important wins, but they have lost their way of late, with two back-to-back defeats arriving in their last two league games.
From an injury perspective, the Villans are without a few key players in John McGinn, Boubacar Kamara, Ross Barkley, and Alysson on the sidelines. Brentford, meanwhile, have two long-term absentees in Fábio Carvalho and Joshua Dasilva.
While this is a tough away game for the Bees, a third straight loss could be detrimental for their otherwise positive momentum. They have the advantage of fresher legs, though, having not played in midweek as opposed to Aston Villa, who are favourites to win the Europa League.
However, in terms of on-paper quality, Villa have the players who can more than hurt the Brentford defence, with Keith Andrews’ men likely to rely more on set pieces to score, something Villa will be cautious about. Looking at their form, squad, and home advantage, Villa are our favourites for the win.
Score Prediction: Villa 2–0 Brentford
Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace
Having a turbulent season, filled with inconsistency and injuries, the Tricky Trees have received a massive confidence boost in recent weeks. Last weekend, they grabbed three big points away at Brentford, before winning handsomely in the Europa League as well.
In contrast, the Eagles have been abysmal in recent months. They have four defeats and one draw from their last five matches, with many of their key players struggling for form. Losing their captain Marc Guéhi to Manchester City has left them further weakened.
Forest’s injury issues have somewhat lessened, and they will only miss Chris Wood, Nicolò Savona, and John Victor for this game. Palace, on the other hand, have a few players injured in Cheick Doucouré, Daichi Kamada, Nathaniel Clyne, and Eddie Nketiah, while Adam Wharton is suspended.
Even though Forest seem to have turned around their form, they have been very inconsistent throughout the season. Their last two wins will have counted for nothing if they end up dropping points in this game, as they are closer to the relegation zone than Palace. Since both teams prefer to keep a solid defensive structure and rely on counters to score, this could be a tight affair that may end in a draw.
Score Prediction: Forest 1–1 Palace
