State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest public-sector bank in terms of total assets, has roped in Mahendra Singh Dhoni as a Brand Ambassador to strengthen its connection especially with the younger population.
As an SBI brand ambassador, Dhoni will be playing a pivotal role in various marketing and promotional activities for the brank.

To mark the occasion, SBI released a new ad campaign on their social media channels on October 29.
Among other public-sector banks, Bank of Baroda (BoB) has Rahul Dravid on board as a brand ambassador. Badminton players PV Sindhu and K Srikanth, and cricketer Shafali Verma are also BoB brand ambassadors. Delhi-based Punjab National Bank (PNB) had Virat Kohli on board as a brand ambassador in the past.
Commenting on the collaboration, Dinesh Khara, Chairman of SBI, said:
