For almost 20 years, García has served as an OMEGA representative. He actively participates in and supports the OMEGA European Masters, an annual DP World Tour event hosted in the Swiss Alps at Crans-Montana.

García partnered up with the Swiss luxury watchmaker in 2003. In 2016, he made an appearance at OMEGA House in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, when golf returned to the country after over a century.

Credit Suisse

Since 2017, Swiss global investment bank Credit Suisse and García have worked together.

Numerous athletes, teams and tournaments worried about their lucrative sponsorship arrangements when Credit Suisse collapsed in 2023, but a Credit Suisse spokesperson later assured that, until 2024, none of their golf sponsorship deals would be impacted.

Additionally, he actively markets the company online and is frequently seen on the golf course using equipment featuring the SuperStoke logo.

Notable charity Work

Sergio García Golf Academy

For the growth and advancement of young golfers between the ages 13 and 18, the Sergio García Golf Academy has in place an annual programme. García has handled the development of the programme since its inception in 2022, with his father and coach, Victor, putting it into practice.

The programme guarantees kids the best possible athletic training, which is complimented by a year of  academics at a top-tier international school.

Sergio and Angela García Foundation

Sergio and his wife, Angela, have supported the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) tournament for young boys and girls who want to advance their golfing abilities to the greatest level since 2016.

The Sergio and Angela García Foundation Junior Championship took place in 2021 at Austin’s University of Texas Golf Club. In response to a fundraising for neighbourhood projects and medical care for children in the foster care system, the couple donated more than US$1 million to three charity organisations in Austin: Muny Conservancy’s Austin Golf Academy, Foster Village, and the Dell Children’s Foundation. The pair organised a two-day fundraiser to raise money for their foundation FORE Kids ATX on November 11 and 12, 2022. This was their first attempt at a fundraiser.

Sergio is supporting the Austin neighbourhood, where his family now resides, by leveraging his platform as a well-known golfer.

Sergio García Foundation

Sergio and Angela have devoted a great deal of time and energy to their charity work, and they are determined to keep up and grow their efforts in the future.

The Sergio García Foundation was established in 2002 with the goal of promoting social inclusion of youth and children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds through social assistance benefits and participation in leisure-time sports. It was developed in Europe and has helped a wide range of NGOs and humanitarian organisations.

Since its creation, the foundation has given more than US$2 million, made possible thanks to a collaboration with the European Tour and Sergio’s active participation as a player in organising tournaments for the benefit of those who are less fortunate and in need.

UGLI Foundation

Angela’s goal and vision are to make the world kinder and better with Sergio’s help, where bullying is not tolerated in workplaces, schools or communities and everyone is treated with respect and kindness. The couple started the UGLI Foundation in order to raise awareness about bullying and violent behaviour towards people wherever it may occur, including social media platforms, and to assist those in need.
