The Zürich-based investment bank has been the Main Partner of the ASB since 1993.
As per their agreement, the two have focused on development of youth football in Switzerland. Credit Suisse also enjoys further sponsorship deals with Swiss clubs and domestic leagues.
In June 2022, it was announced that Credit Suisse was expanding its partnership with the ASB to boost its support for women’s football in the country and was thus announced as the main partner of the ASB’s bid for UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.
In July 2023, the two jointly launched a series of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) featuring players of the Switzerland women’s national football team. It was announced that all the proceeds from the sale of these NFTs would be donated towards women’s football development in Switzerland.
However, in December 2023, it was announced that USB will take over from Credit Suisse as the main sponsor of the ASB following UEFA EURO 2024. USB is thus set to take over the sponsorship commitment until at least June 2028 and become the ASB’s main partner for all junior and senior national teams across men’s and women’s football, the national beach football team, and the national efootball team, while also promoting young talent in Switzerland.
