New fan engaging partnership announced

Australian rugby team Penrith Panthers has announced a new partnership with Big Bash League (BBL) team Sydney Thunders aimed to engage the Western Sydney sports fanbase. The partnership will see both clubs provide ‘exclusive ticket deals to each team’s members and fans’ and Thunder will be hosting an exclusive Panthers Member Bay for the Perth Scorchers game where the Panthers fans will be given a 2-for-1 ticket offer. The partnership is aimed to connect with the local communities and build and strengthen their relations in the region.

Matt Cameron, CEO, Panthers Rugby League, said,

“We are incredibly excited about this new partnership with the Sydney Thunder. We believe this collaboration will help us make a positive impact in the community and foster lasting connections between both fanbases. We’re committed to offering exclusive benefits to Panthers members, including special ticket deals for Thunder fans.”

Trent Copeland, General Manager, Sydney Thunder, commented,

“Ultimately our goal is to work alongside Panthers to bring affordability, access and opportunity for the people of Western Sydney. The Panthers are an incredibly successful club that are doing things really well on the field, but also off the field. We want to tap into that knowledge and help bring that same experience for the Thunder Nation. The Panthers have got a lot of keen cricket fans, including Matt their CEO, who’s part of high-performance sub-committees here at Cricket NSW, so there’s a great synergy in what we’re trying to achieve collectively.”
