The Ballon d’Or is one of the most prestigious football awards that has been presented every year by the French magazine France Football since 1956.

The 68th edition of the Ballon D’Or ceremony will be held on October 28 later this year at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.

The jurors include 100 men’s football journalists from the top 100 FIFA-ranked countries for the men’s awards and 50 women’s football journalists from the top 50 FIFA-ranked countries for the women’s awards. Professional players will not be voting in the 2024 Ballon d’Or awards. 

Lionel Messi holds the record for the most wins with eight Ballons d’Or.
