Nominees announced for the Ballon d’Or Awards

Ballon d’Or is one of the most prestigious football awards presented every year by the French magazine France football since 1956. The 68th edition of the Ballon D’or will be held on October 28th, 2024 at the Châtelet Theatre in Paris.

The jurors include 100 Men’s sports journalists from the top 100 FIFA ranked countries for the Men’s award and 50 women journalists from the top 50 FIFA ranked countries for the women’s award. Players will not be voting in the 2024 edition of the Ballon d’Or awards. 

Lionel Messi holds the record for the most wins with eight Ballon d’Or Trophies. 

The following awards would be presented at the ceremony this year – 

• The Men’s Ballon d’Or

• The Women’s Ballon d’Or

• The Kopa Trophy (best player under 21 years of age)

• The Yashin Trophy (best goalkeeper)

• The Men’s Club of the Year Trophy

• The Women’s Club of the Year Trophy

• The Men’s Coach of the Year Trophy

• The Women’s Coach of the Year Trophy

• The Gerd Müller Trophy (top scorer of the previous season)
