Poker tournaments worldwide attract thousands of talented players who are always raring to go for the illustrious cash prizes and display their poker skills to everyone out there. Thousands of Poker tournaments take place all over the globe, but only some are considered amongst the best. Let’s take a look at some of the most popular poker events all across the world:

World Series of Poker (USA) – Considered as the best Global Poker tournament of the world, the WSOP usually witnesses thousands of people belonging to different countries. Started in the 1970s, almost 104 countries were represented in the 2018 edition. The last edition had 78 events in it, with nearly 28 players winning $1 Million or more. John Cynn won the main event of $10,000 and won the $8.8 Million first prize.

Aussie Millions (Australia) – The Australian Poker Championship or as it is also known the Aussie Millions is a poker tournament which started in 1998 and is considered as the most prestigious tournament in the Southern Hemisphere. Apart from the $10,000 main event, they also provide in igniting the high roller boom by having a $100,000 challenge and a $250,000 Super High Roller.

WTP Fallsview (Canada) – The Fallsview Casino has hosted many World Poker Tours but the WTP Fallsview Poker Classic which was established in 2011 is a popular spot for both American and Canadian poker players. It is situated near the borders of the Niagara Falls.

Playground Poker Club (Canada) – The club is situated in Kahnawake, Quebec, and has hosted dozens of fests such as the World Series of Poker International Circuit, World Cup of Cards, and the World Poker Tour (WPT). In this club, history has also been made when Ema Zajmovic became the first woman to win an open WPT event when she topped a 380-entry field to win C $ 261,000.

Calgary DSPT Championships (Canada) – If you’re looking to play a mid-major tournament, then this Championship is the most suitable for you. Grey Eagle Casino & Bingo is known for its 15-table poker room, which is open 24/7. It’s also known for hosting reputable poker tournaments such as the annual C$2,500 DSPT Championships.
