South Korean tyre manufacturer Hankook Tire has announced a partnership extension agreement with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), the official governing body of football in Europe.

Hankook Tire will thus continue sponsoring the UEFA Europa League (UEL) and UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) for an additional three years, until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Hankook Tire will also sponsor the Player of the Match presentations in the UEL and UECL finals, with its branding featuring on the LED perimeter advertising and media backdrops during television interviews and press conferences.

Hankook will also work with UEFA on a host of fan engagement activities.

Laufenn, a Hankook Tire brand, is also set to become a UECL sponsor, while the company’s EV tyre brand iON will also receive branding visibility during UEL and UECL games.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA Marketing Director, commented:

We are thrilled that Hankook, the UEFA Europa League’s longest-standing sponsor, will remain a partner for the next three seasons of both the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League, especially as we enter the new league phase format era of our men’s club competitions. We look forward to building on our fruitful relationship that we have had for more than a decade to further elevate the fan experience while also driving forward our mutual commitment to community engagement.

Sanghoon Lee, President and COO of Hankook Tire Europe, said:

It is a pleasure to continue our successful partnership with UEFA for another three years to position Hankook Tire as a premium partner also in the sports world. Furthermore, the renewed involvement of our Laufenn brand in the UEFA Conference League also demonstrates the close and trustful relationship we have developed with UEFA over the years. This new competition has already proven to be the perfect platform for raising awareness of our secondary brand in Europe.
