Tezos announced as the team’s Official Technical Partner.

French esports organisation Team Vitality have announced blockchain technology firm Tezos as their Official Technical Partner. The three year-deal is Team Vitality’s lengthiest partnership and is being billed as ‘one of the biggest in European esports history’.

The partnership will see the Tezos logo feature on the front of the Vitality jerseys and across the French organisation’s digital assets. Both parties will also collaborate together to educate the fans about the advantages of blockchain technologies and will work on multiple fan engagement projects.

Nicholas Maurer, Chief Executive of Team Vitality, commented:
This is truly a game-changing partnership for Vitality, which feels appropriate given 2022 is set to be the biggest year in our history. The opportunities Tezos can bring to strengthen the relationship between us and our fans is incredibly exciting, and we’re immensely proud to have Tezos join us on this journey.

Mason Edwards, Chief of Staff at Tezos Foundation, added:
This is a significant step forward for Europe’s leading esports team as the blockchain and gaming industries continue to build a fan and player-centric future for esports.

The decision from Team Vitality to choose the energy-efficient Tezos blockchain as a technical partner is another signal to the established and growing gaming vertical that low gas fees, forkless upgradability, and ease-of-use are the key factors driving the next wave of adoption for blockchain technologies.

Team Vitality continue to grow their sponsorship portfolio, with the likes of CORSAIR, ALDI and Adidas already on board as partners.

For Tezos, this is the firm’s second partnership into the esports world, having partnered with McLaren Racing in June 2021, which saw it team up with the British motor racing team’s simulation racing division.
