Wolverhampton Wanderers FC extend Visit Lauderdale partnership
Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club have announced an extension of their partnership with Visit Lauderdale, keeping it on board as their Official Destination Partner.
The partnership will see the tourism board of Greater Fort Lauderdale continue working with the West Midlands club to showcase the “famous beaches, cultural attractions, and dynamic nightlife” of the region.
Wolves and Visit Lauderdale will also work on several content and fan engagement campaigns, with the club hoping to bolster their presence in the US.
Dave Thomson, Head of Partnerships, Wolverhampton Wolves FC, commented:
“Having been lucky enough to experience the Greater Fort Lauderdale region during our pre-season tour last summer, I’m thrilled that we’ve been able to extend this partnership into a second season. The support Visit Lauderdale provided to the club both on the ground in Lauderdale, and back home in Wolverhampton last season was invaluable to both our football and commercial departments and we’re extremely grateful for their continued support.
“With South Florida set to host seven FIFA World Cup matches in the summer of 2026, the Greater Fort Lauderdale region could not be a better destination for fans looking to head out to the tournament, and we look forward to continuing to promote all that the region has to offer throughout the 2025/26 season.”
Stacy Ritter, President and CEO of Visit Lauderdale, added:
“We’re proud to continue this collaboration and look forward to welcoming even more Wolves supporters to experience the energy, culture, and beauty of our destination.”
