The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and Sony Interactive Entertainment have signed a multi-year agreement. As a result of this development, PlayStation has been named the WNBA’s official gaming platform and marketing partner.
According to the recently-announced partnership, PlayStation has been given the chance to explore various possible marketing opportunities with the basketball tournament, starting on July 15 with the AT&T WNBA All-Star Game in Las Vegas.
Zia Cooke, NaLyssa Smith and Arike Ogunbowale were previously added to the Sony Interactive Entertainment roster through the PlayStation Playmakers programme. Together, they work to promote their admiration for gaming.
Commenting on the partnership, Andrea Perez, Senior Vice President of Brand, Product and Services Marketing, Sony Interactive Entertainment, said:
