Both the Mumbai Indians and the UP Warriorz are coming into this contest on the back of exciting victories in their respective last encounters.
The MI registered a final-over victory in the last game against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Amanjot Kaur was the star for the inaugural WPL champions, taking three wickets in the first innings to help restrict the defending champions to 167 before registering a crucial knock of 34* off 27 balls to take her side home.
The Warriorz, on the other hand, have now won two games on the bounce following two defeats in their opening two fixtures. Their last victory was a Super Over win against the RCB in Match 9.
In the last two games, several UPW players have made a difference with key contributions. Although both Tahlia McGrath and Grace Harris are yet to go big with the bat, the Indian batting contingent has kept the runs flowing, giving the bowlers reasonable targets to defend.
Looking ahead to this match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, the recent fixtures at this venue suggest the pitch for the game will be similar to the previous ones—a bit grassy, hard, and with good carry. However, with no dew in play, pacers and spinners alike have been able to extract something from this surface.
