Premier League 2025/26 Gameweek 34: Preview and Predictions
Gameweek 34 will have a few games played in midweek while the rest to be played at the weekend. Manchester City, Chelsea and Leeds United will play midweek due to their FA Cup semi-finals at the weekend while the other clubs will have their games scheduled for the weekend. As the title-race goes into the last five games of the season, the race for Champions League qualification and the fight for survival at the bottom is also getting uncomfortable for a few clubs.
Here, we present our previews and predictions for all matches of Gameweek 34 of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Brighton & Hove Albion vs Chelsea
This is a match-up between two clubs in contrasting form. While the Seagulls are enjoying a run of decent form lately, Chelsea’s form has gone for a toss.
Since the humiliating defeat in the Champions League Round of 16 to PSG, the Blues haven’t been able to recover. Barring a solitary win against Port Vale in the FA Cup quarter-finals, Chelsea have lost their last four games in all competitions. Their league form is concerning as well having lost four consecutive games. They are already seven-points off fifth-placed Liverpool and look less likely to secure UCL qualification. Their opponents though have a chance to be in contention for European qualification as they are only a point off sixth-placed Chelsea. Brighton
Injury-wise, Brighton will be without Adam Webster, Diego Gómez, James Milner and Stefanos Tzimas while Chelsea will miss João Pedro, Reese James, Levi Colwill, Filip Jörgensen, Estêvão and Jamie Gittens for this game.
The Amex Stadium is one of the toughest away grounds to get a result and considering Chelsea’s recent form, we do not see them winning here, at most this could result in a draw. However, if the Seagulls wingers get going against the Chelsea defence, this could be a difficult game for the visitors. Having said that, we believe that this could end in a draw as Brighton do have a vulnerable defensive line.
Score Prediction: Brighton 2–2 Chelsea
Burnley vs Manchester City
The Clarets are certain of going down as after the weekend’s defeat against Nottingham Forest widening the gap with 18th placed Spurs to 11 points with five games to go. Also, they will be up against an in-form and dangerous Manchester City that are going for the Premier League title.
While the hosts haven’t won a single game in their last five with four defeats and a a draw, the visitors have won three and drawn two in their last five league encounters. Besides, City’s quality as compared to Burnley who have also been unlucky with massive injury issues all through the season.
Burnley will be without Axel Tuanzebe, Connor Roberts, Jordan Beyer, Hannibal Mejbri, Josh Cullen and Zeki Amdouni while City will miss Joško Gvardiol and Rúben Dias for this game.
This could be a very difficult game for the Burnley fans on the Turf Moor as City would be high on confidence after the big win against Arsenal at home which sees them three points off the top with a game in hand. If City win this game with a decent margin, they will be top of the table with Arsenal set to play at the weekend and we all have seen that when push comes to shove, this Manchester City team becomes even more dangerous.
We believe this would be a high-scoring game with City to bag the three points comfortably.
Score Prediction: Burnley 1–4 Man City
Bournemouth vs Leeds United
After winning two back-to-back games in the last two weekends, the Cherries will be confident going against another in-form team in Leeds United.
Bournemouth is currently on a 13-games unbeaten streak in the Premier League, courtesy of which they have climbed into eighth place, level on points with sixth-placed Chelsea. Leeds United have also secured some really big results in recent weeks to keep their Premier League survival hopes alive with two consecutive wins – one of which came away at Old Trafford against Manchester United. Leeds has a loss, two draws and two wins from their last five which isn’t too bad. They are now eight-points off 18th-placed Spurs and looking likely to stay in the Premier League next season.
Bournemouth will miss Matai Akinmboni, Julio Soler, Justin Kluivert and Lewis Cook for this game while Leeds will be without Anton Stach and Daniel James.
Leeds United have made quite a turnaround in recent months and have also qualified for the FA Cup semi-finals – a particularly impressive showing by head coach Daniel Farke. However, the South coast side are a dangerous team on home turf and having recently beaten both Arsenal and Newcastle away, the hosts will be looking to grab three points at home to keep their European dreams alive. This could be a highly entertaining end-to-end affair but we believe Bournemouth could grab the three points here.
Score Prediction: Bournemouth 3–2 Leeds
