Burnley FC signs new deal with Trainline
English football club Burnley FC have announced a new partnership with British digital rail and coach technology platform Trainline who has joined the club as their Official Training Kit and Back of Shirt Partner for the upcoming 2026/27 season. The partnership will see Trainline have branding presence on the back of Burnley’s playing kit for their men’s, women’s and Academy first teams and also on their training kits. Both will work together on fan engagement activities.
Alan Pace, Chairman, Burnley Football Club, commented,
“We’re delighted to welcome Trainline as our new Official Training Kit and Back of Shirt Partner. Our supporters travel incredible distances to follow this Club, home and away, and we know how important those journeys are to the matchday experience. rainline’s focus on making travel simpler and more sustainable makes this a natural partnership for Burnley. We’re excited to work together to give our supporters new ways to engage with the Club, while encouraging more fans to consider rail travel when following the Clarets. Trainline shares our ambition to connect people and communities, and we look forward to working together throughout the season to create experiences and opportunities that deliver real value for our supporters.”
Pete Wade, Chief Commercial Officer, Trainline, added,
“Football and train travel are both about bringing people together. Whether that’s getting fans to Turf Moor on matchday or travelling the 7,473 miles it takes to follow Burnley to every away game by train next season, we want to make those journeys simple and sustainable. Half of UK football fans currently travel to games by car, but 83% would consider switching to rail – this partnership is our way of turning that intention into action. Supporting a club as rooted in its community as Burnley felt like a natural fit, and we’re proud to make their Women’s, Academy and Men’s teams our first football partnership in the UK, building on our sponsorships of Real Betis in Spain and Olympique Lyonnais in France.”
