American global fast food business McDonald’s and global football-governing body FIFA have announced an extension of their partnership.

This new agreement will now include both the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup 2026 and the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20 later this year.

With the opportunity to utilise LED branding and gaining exclusive naming rights to the Fair Play Trophy, given to the team with the best fair play record across FIFA competitions, McDonald’s will continue to sponsor premier FIFA events.

As part of this expanded arrangement, McDonald’s will be prominent at both the aforementioned tournaments, making its brand known to the billions of viewers. Additionally, it will have access to opportunities for tickets and hospitality, offering unique experiences to attendees.
