Financial services company UniCredit has been roped in as the Official Banking Partner of international tennis team event Davis Cup on a multi-year deal.

The partnership will see the Milan-based banking group’s online banking service, “buddy”, enjoy branding visibility at Davis Cup ties and events for the upcoming three years.

David Haggerty, President of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), commented:

It is a pleasure to welcome the prestigious brand UniCredit to the Davis Cup family of partners. We thank them for their confidence in our competition and are proud to help them spread awareness of their products. We look forward to working with the team from UniCredit at Davis Cup ties and events, including the 2024 Davis Cup Finals Group A held in Bologna in September.

Andrea Orcel, UniCredit Group CEO, said:

We are very proud that our innovative and digital brand buddy, representing a new way of banking, is the Official Banking Partner of the Davis Cup. The tournament and its participants embody the pursuit of excellence, and above all, demonstrate the critical importance of teamwork. The Davis Cup stands out in the tennis world by showcasing the power of team success over solo accomplishments – values that sit firmly at the centre of UniCredit.
