Aditya ChaudhuriYou Need Character, producer of kids’ animation show Cricket Pang, Indian division, You Need Contents has partnered with Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane. The partnership will see Rahane join as an investor, and the company hopes to reach out to wider audiences through its new partnership. Rahane currently serves as the show’s brand ambassador, having joined the brand in 2021.

Cricket Pang is currently being broadcast in India, South Korea and the UAE on various television channels and OTT platforms. In 2021, You Need Character launched an India-based marketing campaign to build its base in the country. Various projects have been launched through the Cricket Pang IP with regards to publication, spatial entertainment, character licensing and education. The company has also stated that, through the new partnership with Rahane, it will support cricket scholarships for young kids in India.
The company will also be participating in the upcoming Indian Education Exhibition, which will be held in Bangalore in September 2022, and hopes to meet potential customers for animation publications, cricket simulators, educational app services. The company will also launch Cricket Pang Motion box theatre at the country’s largest theme park, Imagicaa, in October later this year. You Need Character is also working towards launching Cricket Pang Land, a sports theme park, in Bangalore.
