Formula One team Alpine have announced a new partnership with BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. The partnership is built around the upcoming final Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Major, set to be held in Paris, France, between May 8 and 21, 2023.

The agreement will see Alpine serve as the Automotive and Motorsport Partner of the CS:GO Major. Alpine will use the platform to reach out to wider audiences, especially in the esports industry, and connect both the motorsport and esports communities together through various fan engagement activities during the event.

The French Formula One team will be featured during the livestream at the Challengers, Legends and Champions Stages and will also have “significant presence” during the Champions Stage. The A110 S will also be on display at the arena. The partnership will also see the BLAST.tv logo feature on the Alpine race car during the 2023 Emilia Romagna Formula One Grand Prix.

Robbie Douek, CEO at BLAST, commented:

The prospect of bringing together the passionate and fast-paced worlds of motorsport and competitive gaming through this partnership is hugely exciting for both brands. BLAST and Alpine share an ambition to bring fans to the very heart of our experiences and we have some exciting plans as part of this cross-collaboration. The BLAST.tv Paris Major is seen as one of esports’ pinnacle events of the year and provides the perfect platform to create unique activations for our audience in-arena and for those tuning in from all around the world in over 100+ territories.

David Gendry, VP Sponsorship, Partnerships & Communication at Alpine, said:

The crossover between motorsport and CS:GO audiences is huge. While we always look for ways to grow our mainstream audience, it’s also fantastic to work with a community that is so passionate about competitive gaming. We are born competitors and are excited to align with an event that embodies competitive excellence. The BLAST Paris Major also allows us to go back to our roots.

A crossover like this hasn’t been trialled in esports before. We are very respectful of the CS:GO community which is why we wanted to engage with attendees in a way that would be natural, leaning on CS:GO icons to help us blend in with the scene.

Hailing from the City of Joy, the things that bring me joy are cricket, a good non-tilt CS:GO session, F1 and movies.
