Arsenal FC extends its partnership with Konami
Arsenal FC announced on August 18, 2022, the long-term extension of its partnership with Konami effectively starting from the 2022-23 season. English Premier League giant Arsenal FC and Konami Digital’s partnership started in July 2017, which will now feature the former as one of the core clubs in Konami’s title series, eFootball. KONAMI will remain Arsenal’s official football video gaming partner, with club kits and Emirates Stadium featuring in eFootball as well as the squad having a full set of 3D scans for the ultimate translation between real life and virtual appearances. KONAMI and eFootball branding will also feature on the headrests of the seats in the home and away dugouts at Emirates Stadium. Arsenal FC will also continue to take part in eSports games including the eFootball Championship Pro.

FIA confirms new power unit regulations for 2026 season
The FIA World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) announced on 16th August that it had approved the new power unit regulations which will be introduced from the 2026 season. The new regulations will see an increased electrical power and 100% sustainable fuels as the major new introductions. The new regulations will also see the MGU-H or the Motor Generator Unit Heat, be removed while the power output to the power units' Energy Recovery Systems will be increased to 350 kilowatts. The new regulation cars will have more power and will also be less energy, compared to the ones now. Additionally, they will also produce net zero exhaust CO2 emissions.

Revenant Esports to represent India at Pokemon UNITE World Championship 2022
Hustling their way amongst the top esports teams in the country, Revenant Esports booked their spot in the Pokemon UNITE World Championships 2022 by clinching the Indian regional qualifier with a dominating performance. They beat Ascension 3-1 in the final and also took home the prize money of $20,000. A total of 24 teams, including popular esports teams like True Rippers Esports, Enigma Gaming, Entity Gaming and S8ul, featured in the regional qualifiers. Revenant Esports were impressive throughout the tournament, winning all of their nine games in the group stages and playoffs. The team will now represent India at the Pokemon UNITE World Championship, scheduled to take place in London from August 19-20. The tournament will feature a massive prize pool of USD 500,000 and will have 16 teams who have qualified from 26 countries across the globe, battling to win the inaugural edition of the tournament. The teams will be divided into four groups with the top two teams advancing to the playoffs. All games will be played in a double elimination best-of-three format while the final will be played in a best-of-five format with a bracket reset.
