English professional football player Bukayo Saka has teamed up with Fiverr International Ltd to launch the incubator programme “Ideatorr” to allow young and budding entrepreneurs from the UK to take their businesses to the next level.
The Arsenal FC winger continues to provide support for Fiverr’s commitment to reducing the playing field between entrepreneurs from various backgrounds. The incubator programme is set to be hosted by a social impact organisation called “Youth Beyond Borders”.
Addressing the launch, Saka said:
“People have so many great ideas everyday and they often don’t know what the next steps are to bring that idea to life. The mentor programme with Fiverr will help bring those ideas to life. It’s important that the next generation is given a platform and that’s what is special about Fiverr. Not only do they see the talent before the background of the person, but they have the passion and expertise to really help the younger generation from all backgrounds make their dreams and ambitions a reality.”
The company has opened applications, and up to 12 participants between the ages of 18 and 25 will be brought in to be a part of the eight-week programme.
Part of the programme will be YBB Facilitators, mentors and guest speakers. Moreover, select group of participants will be provided with Fiverr credits, using which they will be able to unlock some of the world’s best freelance talent.
Speaking about the association and the programme, Fiverr’s UK Country Manager, Bukki Adedapo, said:
“We are delighted to move into this phase of our partnership with Bukayo Saka to launch our incubator programme together. Bukayo has long been an inspiration, not just as a world class athlete but as a luminary in giving a voice to those who need it. Our goal at Fiverr is to create opportunities for anyone who wants to grow their business. Working alongside both Bukayo and the team at Youth Beyond Borders, we hope to give anyone, regardless of background, the chance to make their business dreams a reality.”
