Chennaiyin Football Club of the Indian Super League (ISL) have signed a partnership agreement with wearable tech brand Ultrahuman.
The partnership, set to run until 2026, makes Ultrahuman the Official Wearable Partner of the Marina Machans for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 ISL seasons.
The agreement incorporates the usage of Ultrahuman Ring AIR, a smart ring that will be used for the club’s training programme. The ring provides real-time biomarker information, which will further assist athletes in improving their training, matchday performance, and recovery. The Ultrahuman Ring AIR also monitors heart rate (HR), heart rate variability (HRV), stress, movement, and skin temperature, while also also providing precise information about sleep patterns.
Speaking on the partnership, Chennaiyin FC’s Vice President, Ekansh Gupta, said:
“Technology plays a crucial role in modern football, not just in improving performance but also in ensuring player safety and well-being. This partnership with Ultrahuman reflects our commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation, both on and off the pitch.”
On the collaboration, Ultrahuman Founder Mohit Kumar commented:
“We are thrilled to partner with Chennaiyin FC. With the Ring AIR, players and coaches will benefit from advanced insights derived from powerful biomarkers to support their performance, cognition, and recovery.”
Ultrahuman will utilise its platform as part of the cooperation to raise awareness regarding the significance of sports recovery and health monitoring. Fans will be able to learn about the advantages of cutting-edge technology in sports performance and recovery through the LED screens at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium as well as through Chennaiyin FC’s social media content.
Chennaiyin FC will make their Ultrahuman Ring AIR debut when they play Mohammedan SC on January 15, 2025.
